Gardner Denver vs Foreign blowers
Don’t be fooled by the claims made by foreign blower manufacturers. The foreign blower approach is to pick blowers that are being run at very high speeds and therefore are smaller and less expensive. They do work. They also make a lot of noise and do not last as long. To combat this weakness, the claim is that the three-lobe design is different and is more efficient, makes less noise, and lasts longer even at the higher speeds. The bottom line is that three lobes running at high speeds have decreased bearing life. This is evident by the foreign manufacturers claim of only 5 years of blower life, while most domestic blower manufacturers claim in excess of 10 years of blower life when ran at their respective slower speeds.
